Tessa's Cowgirl Birthday Party

Ever since my daughters last birthday she has been talking about this cowgirl party she wanted.  So the
theme we went with was cowgirls, with alot of bandanna's incorporated in. I have always loved the design pattern on bandanna's so I used that design through out most of the Party Printables. My first stop was the fabric store as I have always loved burlap backdrops and this fit the theme perfectly, we went with a dark brown burlap fabric found at my local fabric store.  Then i set out to find Mini Hay Bales, well that was alot hard than I had thought.  After searching all over my mom suggested I call Michael's craft store and they had them. They were perfect exactly what I had been looking for to put on the dessert table. I got small wooden crates at Joanne fabrics along with some paper shreds to cover up the foam box that the cake pops were stuck in. I got some brown and hot pink bandannas at Wilco and tied them together and strung them around the table adding a little more of the bandannas print.

She had to have a cute cowgirl outfit s with tons of searching for the perfect cowgirl party outfit, I finally found the perfect one for her party from Rachel Casey's  I found it in red and brown and she said she could make it for my in pink and brown to match her party perfectly.  Then I went to Target and found the pink straw hat and the pink cowgirl boots to finish off her outfit. She was one happy little girl when she saw what momma brought home. She couldn't wait to try on her new Cowgirl outfit. :-)

We stuck with the hot pink, brown and light pink theme through out all the desserts. I knew I had to contact  Lynlee North Beckett for  cowgirl toppers as i have seen some of her cowgirl fondants before and just loved them. And as always once they arrived they were even cuter than I had hoped. We topped half of the cupcakes with the cowgirl fondant toppers and the other half with the printable cowgirl toppers for the center piece.  I then wanted to do caramel apples because they are my favorite and when I saw Roni's Sugar Creations on Facebook and all her fabulous caramel apples I was hooked. I can't even tell you how excited I was when I opened the box of caramel apples, they were awesome she even added little cowgirl hats to the top of each caramel apple stick that really topped them off. They were dipped in caramel and then chocolate and topped off with some hot pink drizzled chocolate, then she finished them with some bows and cowgirl hats. I had a hard time eating one because they were so cute, but once I took my first bit I couldn't stop eating them they were fabulous tasting. they really added the perfect touch to the dessert table.  We made small cones out of the extra pattern paper from the cowgirl printable package and and stuck a plastic stick in them so we could stick them into the hay bales and filled them with caramel corn. On the other hay bale we stuck in some #5 lollipop suckers from Vintage Confections and sat some cupcakes in front of them.  Next we added some cute paisley and cow print cake pops from Cupcake Cuties Bakery to the small wooden crates we had got. I had Hayley Cakes and Cookies make some cowgirl cookies to match and they looked perfect for this party. and last i just bought some mini chocolate donuts at my local grocery store to my empty stops on the table :-)  They are a good cheap table filler.  We also bought glass root beer bottles and added our Cowgirl labels to them to help them fit the theme ever better.

For the Favors we had filled small mason jars with some trail mix we made up and layered it into the jars. Then I added some pink paisley print fabric squares to the top of the jars to cover the mix and a printable sticker that said "Cowgirl Snacks".  We also had pink favor bags with some fun cowgirl goodies for the kids to take home. And last some mini cowgirl chocolates.
